What is TAK U:

Team Awareness Kit or Tactical Assault Kit University is the first offering from Tough Stump University, a division of Tough Stump Technologies. This first installment of TAK U is an introduction to the basic functionality of the Android Tactical Assault Kit which is orientated for the military user. The second installment of tack U is the team awareness kit, which is orientated for all users other than military. These first two installments are a basic course which will introduce brand new users to Android system operations and basic ATAK function.

Why TAK U:

We at Tough Stump Technologies developed the online training course due to the foreseeable high demand of ATAK being integrated into military, civilian and personal missions. In person training takes up dedicated time, travel and cost. Online ATAK/TAK training will offer students a 3-month window to self-pace their learning at $99.99 a user. 

Inside TAK U: 

TAK U is about 8 hours of instructions, learning checks, quizzes all culminating in a final exam that will earn the user an Android Team Awareness Kit/Tactical Assault Kit Basic Certification. The lessons will give a base level guide on the systems, and the learning checks will give the user the freedom to explore the capabilities and intricacies of ATAK. The students will need their own ATAK device loaded with TAK version 4.6 or higher to follow along with the modules. Users with the earlier version can consume the training as tenants of TAK are still present. As ATAK evolves so will this online ATAK training course. The staff at Tough Stump Technologies uses TAK daily, from instruction, plug-in development and real world operations.
